This is old information: you are browsing information for an event that has already happened. This information is provided for historical reasons only. A more current version may be found at www.eaa.org.za/airweek/
Gate Opening Time
Gates will open at 7am. No vehicle access is permitted, with the exception of emergency services and VIP's.
EAA Members
EAA members are entitled to free entry to the event. You'll need your membership card to get in. If you don't have your card for whatever reason (maybe it's still in the post) then we'll have a list of members at the gate so that you can be issued with a temporary membership card.
Renewal at the event: You can renew your membership at the event; however you'll have to pay the standard public entry fee to get in. Since free entry is an EAA membership privelege, you'll be able to get a refund at the membership tent if you have your ticket.
Please check your membership in advance to avoid disappointment. It does sometime happen that your fees are not received properly and it's difficult to sort this out at the gate, especially when it gets busy. Remember that your membership privelege of free entry to the event does not extend to your family unless they've got valid family membership.
Public
- Persons over 16 - full price, R 40 per head
- Persons under 16 - children's price R 10 per head
- Persons under 5 - no charge
There are 3 colours of tickets, one for each day. The appropriate colour will only be sold and accepted on that particular day. You won't be able to use a ticket bought the previous day to gain admission the next day
Wonderboom Tenants
No standard access cards will be accepted during the course of the event from Wonderboom tenants. The Airport authority will be issuing specific access cards marked for the Airshow to tenants, and therefore it is the responsibility of the tenants to ensure that they have sufficient access cards for the duration of the event.
Campers
People camping at the Parachute Club will be allowed access for their vehicles for the purposes of parking the vehicles at there. Should you be camping, and require a vehicle access sticker, please request this when you pay your fees for the camp site. These vehicles are allowed to proceed to the Parachute club, where the vehicles must be parked. Drivers will then have to catch the shuttle bus back to the main terminal building. These vehicles will NOT be allowed to park in the Terminal building area.
Vehicle Access
No vehicles are to be granted access, unless they have a permit sticker affixed to the windscreen of the vehicle. Persons in the vehicle must be in possession of individual entry tickets.
Deliveries: These vehicles are to be admitted to the grounds, merely for the purposes of offloading at the Terminal building and are not permitted to park their vehicles in the grounds. All persons in the vehicle must have valid tickets.
