What's AirWeek
AirWeek is an air show, a fly-in, and the main event on EAA's calendar. This is the same convention that used to be held in Margate. It's like a mini »Oshkosh and we're inviting you to the "Premier Annual Recreational Aviation Event in Africa".
We'll have "Made in South Africa" arena dedicated to organisations that build aircraft and manufacture components.
What's there to do?
Lots! You can watch the air show, look at aeroplanes, visit the forums, look at aeroplanes, get a byte to eat, look at aeroplanes, buy aeroplane related stuff, look at aeroplanes, get a helicopter flip, see the hot air balloons, and last but not least look at aeroplanes. If you're still in school you might be able to enter the street pole poster competition.
Entry Fees
- Adults: R40 each
- Children under 16: R10 each
- Persons under 5 - free
EAA members can get in free if they show a current membership card.
Bring your aircraft
You understood the fly-in part? Excellent. If you've got a "blik errie" you had better bring it along because it seems the micro-lighters have got it in for the bigger aircraft.
Want to camp?
Me too. We're planning to have the same setup as last year (at the parachute club). If you don't feel like camping then there's also more comfortable stuff available in the form of guest houses and the likes.
