Vendor Application

The EAA, in conjunction with the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, is holding the ICATA Airshow at Wonderboom Airport from 29 April to 1 May 2005.

The event will run for a full 3 days, and the draft programme includes during the course of the show: technical forums, hands on workshops relating to aviation construction, presentations from CAA, Aviation Medicine, and diverse aviation experts such as the Royal Aeronautical Society. Aviation movies will be screening on a full time basis, and demonstration flying will continue for the full 3 days. The Friday and Saturday will also feature the Young Eagles events and a full Airshow. Participants in the event include the SAAF Museum, Vintage Aircraft Section, Parachutists, Scale Aircraft, Virtual Aviation, and the like.

We therefore invite you to reserve a stand at the event in order to display your company to best advantage, in what promises to be the largest annual aviation gathering in South Africa, with over 100,000 people anticipated to attend over the 3 days.

The Corporate Display option consists of a 9m x 6m tented area, complete with full flooring and carpeting. Electricity is available where required. The charge for this, for the full 3 days, is R10,000-00, which includes 4 exhibitor tickets. Smaller areas are available, if required, however these requests will be considered on an individual basis and subject to space availability.

Should you have special requests, such as the need to conduct engine runs, operate machinery, or display aircraft during the Airshow, these requests can be accommodated.

The large hospitality tent of 15m x 15m is capable of accommodating 100 persons inside, and another 100 outside in the bar/buffet area with the following included:

• Tables
• Chairs
• Electricity
• Flooring with carpets
• Picket fencing around the tent
• Umbrellas
• Access to event caterers

The cost of this hospitality tent is R 40,000 for the 3 days.

A medium hospitality tent of 9m x 12m is also available at R 20,000 for the three day period. This tent can accommodate 50 persons inside and another 50 persons outside, and also includes the items indicated above.

The small hospitality tent of 9m x 6m is also available at R 13,000 for the three day period. This tent can accommodate 25 person inside and another 25 persons outside, and also includes the items listed under “Hospitality tent” above.

Medium and Small Display / Sales & Marketing Tents are also available. 6m x 6m costs R5,000-00 and 3m x 3m costs R2,500-00 each for the three day period. Table and chairs are also available for hiring.

Flee Market Stall consist of one 5m x 3m frame tent with a rectangular table and 4 chairs. The cost is R1,500 for the three day period.

Food Vendor Stalls are 5m x 3m in size, and comes with a rectangular table and 4 chairs. Water points are available. Electricity can be arranged, if so required. The cost of this stall is R 1,500 for the three day period.

Parking costs are R 150-00 per vehicle for the 3 days on a first come-first served basis, however availability of this parking cannot be confirmed until final payment for stands has been received. There is limited parking inside the Airport, and this has been reserved for exhibitors. Please note that apart from pre-booked parking, no vehicles will be allowed to park in the grounds during the event and deliveries will be catered for outside of the Airshow hours (8am – 5pm).
