Apologies to our guests Pierre Gouws and Glen Warden who were squashed up against the back wall of the stage last night so that we could accommodate all the extra loose seats at the front of the Auditorium that enabled most of the people, who wanted to see the show, to fit in. There were still some people who were hoping to receive a call from me to fill a cancellation – the people who got “your seats” say they are sorry.
We had a total of 88 people crowded into our little 70 seat auditorium last night. Many of those people expressed their enjoyment and gratitude after the show, some of them even took the trouble to write e-mails today and here are some of the comments:
“Well done! Back to the old combination of Karl doing the questioning and the guests doing the rest!. Karl was in his usual great form, and managed to extract the best from two modest guests. That I enjoy. No ‘I’ specialists last evening!”
“Great evening! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Fascinating, illuminating, enlightening, moving and rewarding. Thank you for it. Thanks also to your lovely Ann and the other members of your chapter, who put on a great evening. Incidentally, the two steaks I ate were superb. Not the usual tearing of the meat, it just melted. Delicious. Please thank Neville Böhm and his co-helpers.”
“Lastly, I feel rather a fraud! Although I have belonged to the American EAA for years, I do not belong to The EAA here. I would like to correct that oversight. Could you please furnish me with the application forms?”
“Thank you for such an entertaining evening at the talk show last night. As always it was well organized and the ambience was fantastic, as were Karl, Pierre and Glen.”
“Thank you for a wonderful talk show last night. We had a most enjoyable time. I apologize for leaving without saying our goodbyes, but you were swamped and we had to go.”
“Last night was my first visit with you. It was a most enjoyable experience and I will endeavour not to miss the shows in future. Thank you”
Specific seats available has already commenced for our next Talk Show on the 13th of September. 23 people reserved and paid for their seats at next months gathering before they left last night to ensure they are not excluded. You are welcome to begin placing your reservations immediately – information will follow later about the guests who will be appearing.
Thank you to all those who helped with last nights production: Edna Keuchel, Claus Keuchel, Courtney Watson, Glen “Tinshack” Wilson, Deena Gounden, Karl Jensen, Anne-Louise and especially our entertaining guests Pierre & Glen.
Kind regards
Jeremy Woods
EAA Project Coordinator
