Film Evening - 21 May 2008

This is an old news item about the auditorium. It is kept here for historical purposes.

Those of us who were at the EAA talk show last week, were inadvertently given the incorrect date for the monthly film show. Please note that the correct date is Wednesday 21 May at the EAA auditorium at Rand Airport. The film on this day will be ‘Thunder in the Desert.’ The film is of the famous U.S. Edwards Air Force Base. Entry is free and although there is always a good audience, there are always enough seats. No need to book. Time 18h00 for 19h30 to enjoy a hearty supper of boerewors or steak rolls or there may even be a delicious curry. Do please come and join us.

As you may already know the EAA has formed an alliance with The Bateleurs – an organization dedicated to the preservation of our Environment and Ecology in Africa. We shall also be showing a short DVD of their activities and discussing how we may be able to promote this very worthy occupation through our use of many types of suitable aircraft, used in Game Counts and aerial surveys.

We would remind you that there is no need to book for this function, but all are more than welcome and there will, as always, be food available in the form of Boerwors Rolls and some delicious Curry and Rice.

So don’t forget – Wednesday 21st May next at the Auditorium at 1800 hrs for 1930. See you there!

Next EAA Talk show Thursday 12 June

Readers are reminded of the next talk show date. Our guests have not yet been confirmed, but if the evening is half as good as the one last week, then the audience is promised a riveting evening. Please remember bookings are essential. Contact Jeremy Woods on 011 888 8495 or e-mail wbmeaa@tiscali.co.za. Miss it – you miss out.

Regards,

Shelagh
