GPS and Easyplan Workshop: 16-Jul-08

Discover how to fly more safely by using modern technology to its full potential. 18h30 for 19h30

This is an old news item about the auditorium. It is kept here for historical purposes.

We have decided to use our normal monthly Film Show evening at the EAA Auditorium on Wednesday the 16th July to have a workshop/discussion group on using GPS. We will be showing an instruction video on the Garmin 296 and will also be demonstrating how to do flight planning on EASYPLAN with download to the GPS. There will be a number of people present who know how to use several of the many functions. The Workshop will run this as a “hands-on work/discussion group with input from anyone who can show us something we didn’t know or a different way of doing it.

Please bring your GPS’s so that we can actually demonstrate or practice what is being advised.

Stephen Hunter the designer of the EasyPlan/EasyWeather/EasyCockpit range of programmes will be on hand to guide us when we go wrong.

We will hopefully discover how to make our flying safer by using the latest technology available to us.

We may have to book seats for this depending on the number of people who would want to attend.
