Safety Officer Workshop Spin-off

It is now 47 years since I was asked to leave the University of Natal and since then studying anything except aviation related subjects has not been a priority. Now I had to attend a Safety Workshop at Rand Airport and was expected to concentrate for two full days, fat chance.

MISASA Kittyhawk

The MISASA Tedderfield Shootout was cancelled in favour of a fly-in at Kittyhawk. I really enjoyed the new format that I am led to believe is closer to the original. The venue was particularly well suited to the task with the grass in front of the clubhouse packed with enthusiasts, aviators, aircraft and vendors alike. More than 130 aircraft were counted on the day and the 9th Irene Air Scouts did a wonderful job of guiding aircraft and cars alike.

Wishing you and the entire EAA gang a great 2014.

Although it is bitterly cold here in the Central US, we know it will get to be open cockpit flying again.
