NTCA meeting on 27 March 2008 cancelled.
Dear Folks,
We did not get to the minimum of 20 attendees that we thought would be an indication of interest … so maybe we’ll try again later in the year.
Have a nice Weekend!

18 March 2008: NTCA Task Team Update – NTCA Task Team Update on MISASA’s website
And the latest news from the Aeroclub of SA is:
So after our meeting at the EAA Woods Auditorium, the Aeroclub met with the relevant people at the CAA offices (13/12/2007) using the various items raised at our NTCA meeting. (yes – you did have time to add to these!)
Present were several people among which Cor Beek, Neil de Lange, Stan Oliver, Gawie Bestbier, Simon, S Devkaran.
The result was:
That Mr Cor Beek is looking into the possible reasons for the problems, whether they are interpretative or actual incorrect Regulations. As he was the Author, he will give guidance on this matter.
That certain Regulations will be amended to clearly reflect their intention.
That Part 47 – registration – to allow for NTCA properly, and possibly create separate sub-part for this purpose. Will thus be revisited also.
That the Commissioner is to issue police that will be put into place immediately reflecting the above points as soon as possible (of course as soon as the necessary attention has been give to this matter)
That the above will be submitted to CARCOM for processing.
That the Commissioner issue an interim arrangement for the recommendations to be adopted immediately, pending promulgation.
Also, you may have noticed that Build Numbers have already started being issued and action has been taken in this regard. There were about 102 “stalled” projects which have been / are being dealt with.
This week another Aeroclub / CAA meeting will take place to deal with the above items.
So dear fellow builders & aviators, once again we have made it work by standing together and sorting things out.
Regards!
