The SB 2 was designed with the following Mission Statement in Mind:
- Design & Manufacture an affordable two seater aircraft to be certified to JAR-VLA
- It must satisfy the demands of the non-type certified aircraft industry in SA
- It must have the performance of a tourer type aircraft.
